Removing social and physical barriers that adversely affect the health and well-being of people with disabilities through applied research in disability and community-based care.

STAR Kids serves youth with disabilities covered by Medicaid, improving coordination and customization of care, access to care, health outcomes, cost containment, and quality of care.

The STAR Kids Screening and Assessment Instrument identifies health care services, needs and eligibility for these youth.

Anitmicrobial Stewardship

The Nursing Home Anitmicrobial Stewardship Guide aims to reduce deaths and infections from antibiotic resistant bacteria, and eliminate uneccessary antibiotic prescribing in nursing homes.

The Guide also includes toolkits to help nursing homes optimize use of antibiotics.

Chronic Pain Management

PDRCC develops and evaluates the Relieving Pain in the Brazos Valley Toolkit for healthcare providers and chronic pain sufferers.

The toolkit is used throughout Texas and the nation to enhance access to care and quality of life for patients.
