Research and Evaluation

PDRCC's vision is to provide both policy-relevant research and evaluation of promising new practices and clinical interventions focused on the provision of care in the community for people with complex and chronic health conditions.

Our applied research identifies best practices in community-based long term supports and services policy and service provision to improve the wellbeing of:

  • frail older adults
  • nursing home residents
  • children with special health care needs
  • adults with disabilities

Training and Support

PDRCC trains health services researchers about substantive disability and community-based long term supports and services, policy issues, and methods that can be used in applied and policy-relevant research.

We also support the efforts of other researchers and students in the School of Public Health, other components of the Health Science Center, and other departments at Texas A&M who do research on disability and community-based care.
