Biography

Adrian was born in Guatemala and moved a lot growing up but calls Texas home. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in French and Combined Sciences from Stephen F. Austin State University. While getting his degree, he worked as a technical assistant, supplemental course instructor, counselor for the Texas Joint Medical Program, and teaching assistant. Adrian took a two-year break from school to complete a ministerial service mission in Quebec, Canada. During this time, he served in a variety of settings, including a weekly English and Spanish class, which gave him the opportunity to practice his Spanish and become fluent in French. Adrian participated in the establishment of the SFASU chapter of the Allied Health Student Association and served as the organization's president. During his studies, he also obtained his phlebotomy certification and spent over 200-hours shadowing health care providers and providing translation services. Adrian's interests include spending time with his family, traveling, reading, and working out.
