Class of 2018
B.S. Political Science
Texas A&M University
My name is Kendalyn Rising and I grew up in Beaumont, Texas. In the spring of 2016, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Political Science. Throughout my undergraduate education, I was the founder and president of Aggie Visionaries, a student organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for retinal disease research. Along with my work with Aggie Visionaries, I was involved with Texas A&M’s Disability Services as a member of the student advisory board and as a speaker on various student panels, positions which I still hold today.
In the Spring of 2015, I was honored to be the recipient of the Aggie Spirit Award which recognizes students who exhibit outstanding courage and determination in the face of adversity while attending Texas A&M. I am passionate about working to bring about positive changes in both our local and surrounding communities. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, and volunteering.
