After growing up in Waxahachie, Texas, Ryan Horne moved to France at the age of 19 to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a missionary in France he served in several leadership positions, which included training and organizing missionaries. After returning to the United States he attended Brigham Young University, where he received his degree in french studies and completed additional coursework for the highest level of academic achievement from the Marriott School of Management, the Global Management Certificate. During his time at Brigham Young University, Horne worked for Intermountain Healthcare as a registrar and financial counselor, and spent evenings volunteering as an orderly. While finishing his last year of undergraduate studies, Horne moved to Southern Utah to start an outdoor rental business. Horne enjoys taking spontaneous trips with his wife, boating and hiking.
