The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics (EPI/BIO) invites internal applications for the department head position.

The Department seeks a candidate that has a strong well funded current research program, excellent teaching skills, and a history of mentoring doctoral students. Minumum qualifications include a PhD, DrPH or other appropriate doctoral degree from an accredited institution in a related field; a passion for teaching and record of teaching effectiveness, demonstrated record of research and scholarly work; highly effective interpersonal skills; and the ability to work well with teams across disciplines.

Administratively located in the nationally ranked CEPH-accredited School of Public Health (SPH), the Department offers the Master of Public Health (MPH), and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree programs.

Texas A&M University ranks among the National Science Foundation’s “Top 20 Academic Research Performers in the United States,” and is the fourth largest university by overall student enrollment in the United States.
