Degrees Offered

The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health offers two degrees with concentrations in Environmental Health and Occupational Health: Master of Public Health (MPH); and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH).

Master of Public Health (MPH):

The Master of Public Health (MPH) is a professional master's degree designed to provide practical training in areas related to public health practice. Along with coursework in environmental theory and methods, the MPH in environmental health exposes candidates to the other core public health areas (biostatistics, epidemiology, public health policy and management, and social and behavioral sciences). Students also complete a practicum as part of their training. A Master of Public Health with a concentration in environmental health focuses on how the environment impacts the health of those around the world.
