Admissions Process:
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Either Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) scores are required as part of the MPH admission application.

Students entering the MPH program are chosen for their academic and public health leadership potential. This public health management and academic aptitude is determined by the applicant's academic record, job experience, leadership positions held and personal interview.

Once an application meets the minimum requirements, a mandatory interview is scheduled. Members of the Department of Health Policy and Management MPH Committee review each application and rate the potential student along various criteria. An MPH professor will then interview the applicant to determine if he or she exhibits the communication, social and leadership skills required of successful MPH students. This interview is best done in person. However, there are instances where the interview can be accomplished via Skype.
