1. How do I log in to Blackboard?

  • Your username and password will be given to you from HSC. Your username and password will be the same for your HSC email and for your Blackboard account. Call TAMHSC OIT Help Desk at 800-799-7472 if you continue to have problems.

2. I can’t login, I forgot my password?

  • Call the Help Desk at 800-799-7472 if you continue to have problems.

3. My browser is not working, how do I check that? Which browser do I use?

  • Do NOT use Internet Explorer for taking tests in Blackboard. (Too often a student will be kicked out of a test when using Internet Explorer). Please use Firefox or Safari for testing purposes.

4. Who do I contact for Blackboard help and support?

5. My classes are not listed in Blackboard.

6. My videos won't play inside of Blackboard.

  • Update both your Java and your Flash

7. How can I email in Blackboard?

  • Log into Blackboard - find the mail course menu on the left. Choose the person to whom you would like to send your email to, create your message and then click submit.

3. Where can I check the student roster?

  • To view your class roster – log onto your course. Find the course menu on the left – last menu tab should be roster. You should then be able to bring up your roster for your class. It will also be in your Grade Center.

4. How can I upload a syllabus?

  • Log into your class. Find the Syllabus on the Course Menu on the left. Choose to Build Content, Create File, Browse my computer, find the file, name it, upload it and then submit.
