There will be a proclamation ceremony declaring Public Health Week in the Brazos Valley. In attendance will be College Station Mayor Pro Tem, Karl Mooney; Bryan City Council Member and Health Board Member, Greg Owen; and Brazos Valley Health Department Director, Ken Bost.
Sponsored by the Office of the Dean, this event will include sponsorships, team registration, contests, and silent auction. All profits will go towards student scholarships.

Dean's Lecture Series: "Relieving Pain in the Brazos Valley: A State and Local Partnership Approach" - Michael Felix, Pain Action Alliance to Implement a National Strategy (PAINS) Community Health Network Development Director will moderate a panel discussion on public health approaches to pain. Panel members include Myra Christopher, Director of PAINS; Darcy McMaughan, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Director of the Program on Disability, Aging, and Long-Term Care Policy, Texas A&M School of Rural Public Health; and Nancy Dickey, M.D., President Emeritus, Texas A&M Health Science Center, and Medical Director, Health for All.
