in Public Health (BSPH)

The BSPH program is based on a philosophy of health promotion and disease prevention, to improve the quality of life of individuals, families, and communities by assessing factors influencing health in populations, planning effective programs and interventions, designing evaluations for those interventions, and successful management of those programs.

Public Health (DrPH)

The Doctor of Public Health is an advanced professional degree for those whose career goals are in the area of professional practice in public health, including current and potential leaders in public health practice.  This degree prepares candidates for a career in high-level administration, teaching, or practice, where advance analytical and conceptual capabilities are required.

Doctor of Philosophy
in Health Services Research (PhD)

The Doctor of Philosophy in Health Services Research is designed to prepare students to conduct high quality research addressing important health services issues through intensive education in research methods and opportunities for advanced training in health policy, organization theory, and health economics along with applied knowledge in specific substantive areas of health policy or management.

Master of Public Health (MPH)

The Master of Public Health degree is a multi-disciplinary professional degree program designed to provide practical training in areas related to public health practice.

in Public Health (MSPH)

The MSPH is considered more of an academic degree program than a professional practice degree program by additional coursework in research methods and statistics.  Students can choose among the variety of multi-disciplinary public health options to navigate their public health interest accordingly.

Master of Health Administration (MHA)

The MHA is a professional degree program intended for students pursuing administrative practice in health service related settings. The vision of the program is to develop health care managers who will provide leadership for their organizations and communities based on a strong commitment to public health, ethics, integrity, and service as well as demonstrate the ability to implement innovative ways of meeting health care needs of a diverse society.
